This brief had a slightly different approach in that the starting point was the client’s budget. The only thing the client specifically requested was a seating area near the house and to remove the small tree in the middle of the lawn. We were more than happy to work this way, it’s often a good place to start if you do have a budget in mind.

We came up with a design, which incorporated a patio surrounded with a small planting area that lead to a bed, which we reshaped and replanted.  We also added a pergola walkway leading up to her garden shed, which we planted with several climbers.

For maximum impact our recommendation was to reshape and returf the lawn, which although wasn’t included in the original budget made a huge difference to the end result.

The client was thrilled with her new garden and commissioned us with the on-going maintenance contract. She also went on to give us the maintenance contract for the gardens at her offices.
